I chose to join a hike with HIKE for Mental Health to help stamp out the stigma of mental illness and conserve wilderness trails.
My family has suffered greatly with mental illness so this is a cause near and dear to my heart. I lost my Mom and Aunt to suicide and have other family members and friends who struggle daily to stay on track and not fall down that same path. The more we can get awareness out there and let people know it’s ok to talk about it, they are not alone and there is help the better this world can be. By hiking in the woods and bringing friends along to enjoy nature and have open conversations is my best outlet for my own mental health and hopefully is good for them too.
Would you consider making a donation, leaving a message, or sharing this page?
Thank you.
