Hiking the Appalachian Trail has been goal of mine for a while and I am fortunate to have the opportunity and the means to pursue this goal. I am excited about the physical challenge of the trail but I also hope to gain many benefits from the journey such as improvements in my mental health and well-being.
I also wanted to find a charity to support during my hike and raise money to also benefit others. HIKE for Mental Health was perfect charity for me to support during own journey. With your help we can work to rid the stigma of mental illness and conserve wilderness trails together.
