I chose to join a hike with HIKE for Mental Health to help stamp out the stigma of mental illness and conserve wilderness trails. My niece suffers from Bipolar 2. She was diagnosed when she was about 14, a freshman in high school. It’s a constant struggle being a new mom to 2 kids under the age of 2 and juggling the right meds and dosages. All the highs and all the lows. She was meant to be a mom, but I do often see through her I’m always happy/everything is great facade, when I know she’s in pain emotionally 🙁
