Nature’s White Noise: Mental Health and Nature Sounds — 1 Comment

  1. Thank you for sharing a new way to look at nature’s noise (i.e., “white noise”). Of late, the croaking of frogs, and their sudden plunk into the water have been on my radar. Then, yesterday I was out leading a mindful/meditative group in the Raleigh, NC area and it was the lack of natural noise (somewhat of a piercing silence) interrupted from time-to-time by plane noise that was front and center. I found that I could shift the man-made noise to a place of acceptance by imagining what adventures the plane passengers were headed off towards; then shift back into nature’s silence.
