Welcome Rafi Gomes to the HFMH team!
Great news – we have a new member on the HIKE for Mental Health all-volunteer team, Rafi Gomes. Rafi will post mental health articles on our website every week or two. Not only will this help us spread news of developments in mental health research, but it will also boost our search engine rankings so that more people hear our messages.
Rafi was section-hiking the AT this summer when he stopped at the Top of Georgia Hostel and met our own Tom Kennedy. Tom has been helping hostel manager Bob Gabrielson and immediately recognized Rafi’s talent and common interest in hiking and mental wellness.
Born in Brazil, raised in sunny South Florida, Rafi is a multi-passionate being who is finding his peace through exploring the balance of seclusion in nature and co-creation in society. He shares his days and nights with his wife and acroyoga-partner Kate. Together, the young couple is blossoming and learning to share their light and love through service to others.
“I am feeling excited to be a part of the HIKE for Mental Health team,” exclaims Rafi.
We are excited, too, Rafi. Welcome aboard!
Rafi’s posts are already appearing on our website.
