Did you know TD Bank would donate $10 just because you have an account with them?
I have been a TD Bank customer since the days I lived in New Hampshire. So when Tom, Nancy and I founded HIKE for Mental Health a few year ago, I naturally opened our bank account with TD Bank.
Little did I know that through their affinity program, they would donate money to a charity for everyone who has an account with them!
That’s right – just go to your nearby TD Bank and tell them you want you want to support HIKE for Mental Health in their Affinity Membership Program. Then give them our code AF553.
That’s all there is to it.
TD Bank will make a donation to HIKE for Mental Health. It does not cost you anything – no money comes from your accounts. The money is donated by TD Bank. And no information about your accounts is shared with us.
How it works
Through the Affinity Membership Program, TD Bank will make an annual contribution to HIKE for Mental Health based on the activity of all participating members’ TD Bank accounts.
It is easy to help
- Write down “AF553” on a piece of paper.
- Put it in your wallet or purse.
- The next time you drive by TD Bank, stop in and tell them your affinity program is HIKE for Mental Health and give them that code.
Eligible accounts include:
- Checking – Business & Consumer
- Savings
- Money Market
- Certificate of Deposit
- Retirement
For each existing checking account, TD Bank will donate $10. If you open a new checking account, they will donate $50.
For savings, money market, CD’s, and retirement accounts, they will contribute 1/10th of 1% of the combined balances. (Again, we don’t see these amounts; we just receive the total donations from all the people who do this.)
If you are a TD Bank customer, please visit any one of their locations and ask to have your balances included as part of HIKE for Mental Health’s Affinity Membership Program (code: AF553).
Thank you!
