Nancy Kozanecki Named “Community Champion”
HIKE for Mental Health co-founder and board member Nancy Kozanecki was recently honored for her extensive volunteerism in the Pearland, Texas, community.
The citation accompanying the plaque reads:
“Nancy has served on the Board and Advisory Board of Keep Pearland Beautiful. She is an advocate for the environment and for the animals and people who inhabit it. Nancy was the key contact in the Pearland area for paperback book collections for US troops as part of her membership in HIKE for Mental Health. They have collected more than 5,000 books at six collection sites in the Pearland area since 2012.
Also, Nancy has been an active leader in Pet Hub Rescue, a 501c3 no-kill animal rescue in Pearland.
Nancy supports single mothers and children with her membership and sponsorship for Women in Leadership Society.
Pearland is a much better place to live due to the time, effort and charitable heart of Nancy Kozanecki.
Congratulations, Nancy, and thank you for all you do!
