Long Path hike raises $550!
On August 22-23, Sue Eilers completed her hike of the Long Path North Section 34 to raise awareness and funds for mental health research.
She hiked in honor of her son, who has been diagnosed with schizophrenia. She describes him as “one of the nicest people I know” despite the constant nagging from delusions and voices he hears in his head.
With support from 10 sponsors, Sue raised $550 to fund research into the causes, treatments, and cures for mental illness. In her own words, meaningful progress “will only be found by committed researchers and I would like to help fund their efforts”.
Thank you, Sue, for your HIKE for Mental Health!
