The ADK Woods Walker gang is getting back together for our 3rd annual #hikeOctober fundraising event to support the HIKE for Mental Health organization and help stamp out the stigma of mental illness and conserve wilderness trails.
We all know someone who struggles to deal with mental health issues on a daily basis — friends, family, or even yourself — and it’s important to normalize the discussion about and remove the stigma that’s associated with these challenges! It’s my goal to bring the topic of mental health to the outdoor adventure YouTube community again, and to take the conversation further this year. 2020 and 2021 have been very difficult on a number of my loved ones, and I’m working to help the HIKE for Mental Health organization because they help my community!!
We were able to raise over $1,100 in 2020, and I think that we have the energy, motivation, and inspiration to hit at least $2,000 this year! Would you consider making a donation, leaving a message, or sharing this page to help us reach our goal?!
This year the ADK Woods Walker team is doing something a little different and want to thank you for your support! Because you are so awesome, everyone who makes at least a $5 donation will be entered into a give-away drawing to win their very own “Get Outside & Do Something Awesome” moisture-wicking t-shirt. The winner will be chosen at random during a Live Stream event on the ADK Woods Walker YouTube channel during the first week of November 2021 (details to follow)!
I really hope you’ll join us this year to help us reach our goal, but most importantly, I hope that we’ve inspired you to get outside and do something awesome!
