I chose to join a hike with HIKE for Mental Health to help stamp out the stigma of mental illness and conserve wilderness trails. This will be my second year hiking with the HIKE for Mental Health to summit Mt. Washington. As this journey is extremely personal to me. I was diagnosed last year with Major Depressive Disorder and General Anxiety. We need to get the conversation going and let people know this shouldn’t be something to be ashamed of. We need to help each other.
