I started this fundraiser to bring awareness to the stigma of mental health. I have personally been affected with severe depression and bi-polar since I was in high school. I have lived a full and happy life because I had the help and support of others. I want others to be able to get the help they need and to know it’s ok to talk about it. Hiking and being outdoors plays a big role in helping with mental health. It helps clear our minds and reconnect with nature and places within ourselves.
Mental illness affects 1 in 4 families in the United States, leaving those who suffer from it and their families searching for answers, cures and treatments that will allow them to experience the simple joy of living.
80% of the donation goes to brain and research development and 20% to trail conservation. 100% of the net proceeds goes directly to the charities.
