Goal: $2,193.00

$2,616.93 donated
Hello family and friends,
I have been in the process planning, for several months, as I prepare to hike the Appalachian Trail. I will start my journey on February 26, 2020 hiking northbound from Springer Mountain, Georgia to Maine.
As I’ve gone through my divorce and recovery from addiction and codependency, I’ve realized just how poor my mental health was and just how poor our mental health care is. Mental health challenges have cause troubles for my family and friends. So, I’d like to dedicate my hike to improving mental health in America. I set a goal to raise $2193. That’s one dollar for every mile of the trail.
I hope you’ll donate to Hike for Mental Health.

This is awesome. Enjoy the journey. I’m looking forward to the video logs.
Best of luck to you on this journey. No doubt it will be life-changing, as will your support for such a great organization!
In memory of Norman J Smith, thru hiker class of 1994. Happy to see you being able to chase this goal.
For every time I was lost in my life, my friends always helped me find the way. Good luck on your adventure.
Pulling for you brother. Great cause too! God bless, Ken. Take it all in.
You got this, buddy!!!
Happy hiking to all hitting a trail this year! Best of luck to my fellow hikers on the Appalachian Trail in the Class of 2020….and a huge KUDOS to everyone that registers and promotes their hike through Hiking for Mental Health. Just registered my own hike, and rather than donate to myself I wanted to give a boost to all my hiking tramily here in getting up their “donation mountain”. 🙂 Hope to see some of you on the trail, and thanks to all of you for getting behind such an important cause!!! “Cray” 4-4-2020
Happy trails, Katbird!
Congrats on an amazing feat!
I am so excited for you to finish this journey in your life. Thank you so much for taking me with you through all the pictures and videos you shared. I felt inspired by all that you went through and saw along the way.
For sharing an amazing journey. Wonder accomplishment.
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.” H.D. Thoreau Here’s to living deliberately.
So impressed with everything you did on this hike. Especially with Covid messing it up in the middle you still finished. Wish I met up with you in NJ but it was right after the hurricane and I was crazy with cleaning up downed trees at my house and the local trails.
