Out of all the fundraisers out there this one hits close to home. Mental health is just as important as any other disease. Hiking is one of the only activities out there that helps me pull out of my funk and gives me something to look forward to. Every .80 cents of every dollar donated goes towards foundations that help mental health and the other .20 cents goes towards maintaining our trail systems.
For those who don’t know I will be hiking the PCT at the end of March and will be attempting 110 miles. If you’re feeling generous, here is a foundation I would like to help raise money for.
I chose to join a hike with HIKE for Mental Health to help stamp out the stigma of mental illness and conserve wilderness trails.
