James Czeiszperger’s hike for mental health — 13 Comments

  1. Would you walk 500 mile, and would you walk 500 more? Just kidding brother, proud of you taking on the enormous task! Good luck!!

  2. Happy hiking to all hitting a trail this year! Best of luck to my fellow hikers on the Appalachian Trail in the Class of 2020….and a huge KUDOS to everyone that registers and promotes their hike through Hiking for Mental Health. Just registered my own hike, and rather than donate to myself I wanted to give a boost to all my hiking tramily here in getting up their “donation mountain”. 🙂 Hope to see some of you on the trail, and thanks to all of you for getting behind such an important cause!!! “Cray” 4-4-2020

  3. From a Veteran who knows that the daily struggles are real. Thank you for taking on this task. You and Alaska are an inspiration.

  4. James,
I hope your journey is everything you suspected so far. I know day to day things will change and there will be some challenges, but you got this!!!! Just one step at a time and before you know it you and Alaska will be at the end of the trail. I hope the sun shines down on you more often then not (I’ve seen the raining videos 🙂 ). Stay dry, stay healthy.

  5. Thank you James for taking this on. I am a nurse, the wife of a former infantry Marine who suffers PTSD and bipolar disorder, the mother in law of a Naval Airman, and the aunt of a Soldier who served as a Scout. The stigma associated with mental health problems is a never ending battle for the general public but even more so for Veterans. You did your fellow service members a service just by speaking up and now you’ve taken it a step further. Best wishes to you and your pup!

  6. Thank you for your commitment to this very important need. Love that you are sharing your journey. Safe travels
