Hiking has been part of my life since I thru-hiked the AT from Georgia to Maine in 1977. Now, I hike daily with longer hikes weekly. I like challenges. Living with mental health can be a challenge. If I can challenge myself physically, succeed and then experience the sense of accomplishment at the summit, it will be all worth it. For me, the descent will be more of a challenge than the ascent!!! Wish me luck!
