We chose to join a hike with HIKE for Mental Health to help stamp out the stigma of mental illness and conserve wilderness trails. Diana, hiked Sleeping Giant in 2021 for the first time. This mountain challenged her abilities and took her out of her comfort zone. Diana is so grateful for this experience and those she met that day! These connections have carried with her and motivated her to reach her hiking goals plus spread the word about this great organization.
Gloria heard about this event from Diana and was eager to be a part of this amazing cause. Gloria decided to join Diana’s page as a team effort to bring awareness about mental health and to support Hike for Mental Health’s mission. Diana and Gloria met at an event and learned they both have a passion for change. We both are social workers making a difference in the world who love to hike. We both have learned how hiking can transform your mindset and so we are going to Hike The Giant together!!!
