I’m ready for another challenge! This will be my third hike with HIKE for Mental Health and my first time hiking in Connecticut. My first hike was Bear Mt in 2015 and my second hike was virtually in October 2020 in various locations in NJ. I love this organization’s mission! I’m excited to hike with others for a wonderful cause. Many of you know I’m a social worker so this holds near and dear to me but I’ve also learned how much nature has helped me. It has relaxed my body and taught me how to be more mindful. I’m ready to get back out there and take in this experience.
I chose to join a hike with HIKE for Mental Health to help stamp out the stigma of mental illness and conserve wilderness trails.
