I chose to join a hike with HIKE for Mental Health to help stamp out the stigma of mental illness and to celebratemy 51st birthday. As someone who has been effected directly by depression, anxiety, ADHD and panic attacks I know the importance of how nature brings all my fears back into focus and calms my mind, body and spirit.
Whether you have been diagnosed or not we all are fighting these battles more often now than ever before or we know some who is. You don’t have to do this alone. Don’t isolate, let someone know. Get the help you need and most of all get outdoors. It truly helps!
