Hiking is a passion of mine. Being outside in the glory of nature is my soul food. I hike not just for my physical health but for my mental and emotional health. Hiking helps many people re-connect with nature and with places within themselves that get obscured in the daily busy-ness of life. I am joining a fundraising hike for a group called HIKE for Mental Health. They work to increase public awareness about the challenges of mental health issues AND help conserve wilderness trails. The funds go to organizations like the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation and The Appalachian Trail Conservancy. If you enjoy walking and being outside and find it beneficial for your own mental health and balance in your life, please consider making a donation or sharing this page.
Thank you so much!
