When I graduated college, I started to feel depressed. I became anxious about my future. One way I was able to lift myself out of the darkness was to hike. When I’m in the mountains, I’m captivated by their beauty, and my worries seem to fade away. I’ve always felt happiest while I’m hiking in the mountains.
I chose to join a hike with HIKE for Mental Health to help stamp out the stigma of mental illness and conserve wilderness trails. To help the one in five Americans that suffer from mental illness.
