Grants for brain & behavior research top $275k
In December 2018, we presented the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation with a check for $55,750, our largest award ever! That grant brings the total amount raised for brain and behavior research since HIKE for Mental Health was founded to more than $275,000. Wow!
We are so excited to help this amazing organization fund grants for break-through research that expands our understanding of and explores new treatments for depression, PTSD, anxiety, schizophrenia, OCD, bipolar disorder, addiction, eating disorders and other brain and behavioral disorders that affect 1 of out of 5 Americans.
We are grateful to all the volunteer hike organizers, hikers, supporters and donors in 2018. Their love for hiking, compassion for those battling mental illness, and willingness to be part of HIKE for Mental Health makes all this possible.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all! We can’t wait to see what we will do together in 2019! If you want to be part of our 2019 hiking season, give us a shout.
Congratulations to all, this is awesome!
