Thanks to volunteer hike organizers Wendy Summa and Pat Horsch, there is one more chance to join a HIKE for Mental Health this year near the Pennsylvania/New Jersey border. And it is a beautiful 9-10 mile fall hike from outside Delaware Water Gap to gorgeous Sunfish Pond on November 8, 2015.
The hike features a gradual 1000′ vertical ascent to spectacular views from the ridge-line before reaching the southern-most glacial pond on the Appalachian Trail. Join us!
We are grateful to Pat and Wendy for organizing this hike.
Pat Horsch leads more than 25 hikes a year for the Tri State Ramblers Club, where she is also active as an event coordinator, co-organizer of the website and board member. “We all have someone in our lives who suffers or has suffered from some form of mental illness,” says Pat. “It makes me feel good to support an organization like HIKE for Mental Health.”
Wendy Summa has been to more HIKE for Mental Health events than almost anyone else. Full of energy and exuding sunshine wherever she goes, your hike with Wendy is guaranteed to be full of smiles and laughter. “Not only is Sunfish Pond one of my favorite hikes, filled with spectacular views, but it is the first placed I ever hiked with HIKE for Mental Health. Why not lead my first hike at the place I first experienced the joys of hiking with this great group.”
Join us on November 8 for our Sunfish Pond HIKE for Mental Health!
