On November 1, HIKE for Mental Health directors Nancy Kozanecki and Leo Walker will challenge themselves in the 12 mile Spartan “Beast” obstacle course race near Dallas, TX. Who wants to join us? Please. We need all the help we can get. Yes, it is a race, but we are running for fun as a no-one-left-behind team.
So if you are inclined to push the limits of your physical stamina and don’t mind getting muddy and sweaty in the process, join us and help raise funds for HIKE for Mental Health.
You can register for this Spartan Race on the Spartan Race Registration site. We are registered for the 9:30 AM heat, and if you register “as a team” you will be able to join our open “HIKE for Mental Health” team during the registration process.
After you register, you can help raise funds by promoting our team to your friends and family.
We are running to push our physical and mental endurance but also just to have a good time scrambling on the ground under barbed wire, climbing walls, sloshing through mud, and facing whatever challenges the course designers have in store for us.
If that is your idea of a good time and you can get to Dallas on November 1, come on out and join us!

If we get a lot of interest in the Spartan race, we may look to do the fundraising page directly on our site the next time. That is assuming we survive the race and there is a next time.
