So said AT thru-hike recordholder Jennifer Pharr Davis when asked by National Geographic what fascinates her about hiking the Appalachian Trail.
In 2011 Jennifer Pharr Davis hiked the entire 2,000+ mile length of the Appalachian Trail faster than any human has ever done – in 46 days, 11 hours, and 20 minutes.
She hiked through the entire state of New Jersey in less than two days!
Although our daily mileage on our hikes will be much less, there is still a lot of inspiration to be drawn from Jennifer’s accomplishment. And from her attitude – check out this interview with National Geographic, who named her a 2012 Adventurer of the Year.
